Net profit was $1.868 billion, up 11.9% from $1.67 billion a year earlier.
Basic earnings per share were $4.21, compared with $3.77 a year earlier, while diluted earnings per share were $4.20, better than market expectations of $4.11, compared with $3.76 a year earlier.
Net sales of Q4 were $70.764 billion, compared with $61.441 billion a year earlier, up 15.2 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, same-store sales in the United States increased by 15.8% compared with the same period last year; same-store sales in Canada increased by 13.4%; in other international regions, same-store sales increased by 2.9%; and e-commerce sales increased by 7.1%.
Q4 membership fees were $1.327 billion, compared with $1.234 billion in the same period last year, up 7.5 per cent from a year earlier.
The whole year of fiscal year 2022The company's total revenue was $226.954 billion, up 15.8% from a year earlier, of which net sales were $222.73 billion, up 16.0%, and membership fees were $4.224 billion, up 9.0% from a year earlier. Net income was $5.844 billion, up 16.7% from a year earlier, and diluted earnings per share were $13.14, compared with $1.127 billion a year earlier.
