According to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Nomura Holdings (NMR.US) released its position report (13F) for the second quarter ended June 30, 2022 (Q2).

The total market capitalization of Nomura's Q2 position was $29.033 billion, compared with $33.411 billion in the previous quarter, down 13 per cent from the previous quarter. Nomura Holdings added 406 targets to the Q2 portfolio, increased its holdings by 444, reduced its holdings by 458, and cleared 553, of which the top 10 positions accounted for 40.43% of the total market capitalization.

From the perspective of position preferenceNon-essential consumer, financial and communications stocks ranked in the top three, accounting for 23.83%, 20.94% and 13.76% of the total positions, respectively.

In the top five heavy stocksThe ETF put option (SPY.US,PUT) ranks first, with 6.3025 million shares and a market capitalization of about $2.4 billion, accounting for 8.27 per cent of the portfolio, up 49 per cent from the previous quarter.

BABA's call option (BABA.US,CALL) ranked second, holding 14.1128 million shares, with a market capitalization of about $1.638 billion, or 5.64 per cent of the portfolio, down 7 per cent from the previous quarter.

The iShares iBoxx high-yield corporate bond index ETF put options (HYG.US,PUT) ranked third, with 18.0217 million shares and a market capitalization of about $1.346 billion, accounting for 4.64 per cent of the portfolio, with positions up 163 per cent from the previous quarter.

$Dollar Tree Company (DLTR.US) $Ranked fourth, with a position of about 7.6641 million shares, with a market capitalization of about $1.196 billion, accounting for 4.12% of the portfolio, with a slightly lower position than in the previous quarter.

PayPal Holdings Inc's call option (PYPL.US,CALL) ranked fifth, holding 12.027 million shares, with a market capitalization of about $1.133 billion, accounting for 3.90 per cent of the portfolio, with a sharp increase of 7374 per cent from the previous quarter.

In addition, among the top six to top 10 heavy stocks, the number of ETF call options (SPY.US,CALL) positions in the S & P 500 increased sharply by 1529 per cent compared with the previous quarter, while the positions in BABA put options (BABA.US,PUT) and Nasdaq ETF put options (QQQ.US,PUT) decreased by 80 per cent and 32 per cent respectively from the previous quarter.

Nomura also built positions in the SPDR consumer goods selection industry index ETF put options (XLP.US,PUT); reduced its holdings in BABA (BABA.US), down 50 per cent from the previous quarter; and Amazon.Com Inc's call options (AMZN.US,CALL) positions were also down 79 per cent from the previous quarter.

Judging from the change in the proportion of positions, the top five buying targets are:PayPal Holdings Inc call option, S & P 500 Index ETF call option, iShares iBoxx High yield Corporate Bond Index ETF put option, S & P 500 Index ETF put option, SPDR Consumer goods Select Industry Index ETF put option.

The top five sellers are:BABA put option, Amazon.Com Inc call option, SPDR non-essential consumer goods ETF put option (XLY.US,PUT), Nasdaq ETF put option,$Bausch Health (BHC.US) $
