China Everbright Green Environmental Protection (01257.HK) announced its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2022. The group's income was HK $4.22 billion, down 2% from the same period last year. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization were HK $1.297 billion, down 18% from the same period last year. Earnings attributable to the company's equity shareholders were HK $372 million, down 47% from the same period last year, and the interim dividend per share was declared.
The Group's main business includes comprehensive utilization of biomass, hazardous and solid waste disposal, environmental remediation, photovoltaic power generation and wind power. As of June 30, 2022, the Group has implemented 140 environmental protection projects, with a total investment of about 32.898 billion yuan, and undertaken 44 environmental restoration projects, involving a total contract value of about 1.242 billion yuan.
In terms of market expansion, during the period under review, the Group acquired a total of six new projects and made additional investment in one existing project, involving a total additional investment of about RMB 229 million and a total contract value of about RMB 77.85 million for environmental restoration projects. The new project includes one biomass comprehensive utilization project, one hazardous waste and solid waste disposal project, two photovoltaic power generation projects and two environmental restoration projects. In terms of project scale, the installed capacity of newly designed power generation is 13.204 megawatts, the designed treatment capacity of domestic waste is about 400 tons per day, and the designed treatment capacity of hazardous waste and solid waste is about 1500 tons per year.
In terms of engineering construction, the Group has steadily promoted the construction of its projects. During the period under review, 10 new projects were implemented or started, and 6 projects were completed and put into operation. On June 30, 2022, the Group has a total of 27 projects under construction or implementation, including 2 biomass comprehensive utilization projects, 7 hazardous and solid waste disposal projects, 14 environmental remediation projects and 4 photovoltaic power generation projects. The Group attaches great importance to the construction safety, construction quality and construction progress of the project under construction, and improves the level of construction site management by constantly optimizing the project management system structure.
