According to Sina US Stock News Reuters on the 19th, Beijing time, Japan's Toyota Motor Corporation said on Thursday that it has confirmed that the aluminum used in parts of some of its cars from Kobe Steel meets safety and durability standards.

Toyota said in a statement that it is evaluating whether non-aluminum products supplied by Kobe Steel also meet the standards. The company's Toyota and Lexus brands both use Kobe Steel products.

Earlier this month, Kobe Steel admitted that it had falsified data on the quality and specifications of products supplied to about 500 customers, which shocked the global supply chain. This was the latest blow to Japan's reputation as a high-quality manufacturer.
