In the first seven months of 2022, there were 43 newly listed companies in Hong Kong, raising 38.04 billion Hong Kong dollars (HK $, the same below) (excluding the additional funds that may arise from the exercise of over-allotment rights of some new shares).

At the same time, 26 (19 on the main board) were delisted from the listing rules and 9 (8 on the main board) were delisted under the privatization plan and voluntary withdrawal, with a total of 35 listed companies delisted.

As of July 31, 2022, the HKEx has a total of 2579 listed companies, including 2235 on the main board and 344 on GEM. Among them, there are 122 listed companies whose trading has been suspended for more than 3 months (105 on the main board and 17 on GEM).

A total of 43 newly listed companies were listed in Hong Kong in the first seven months of 2022, all of which were listed on the main board, including 37 for IPO, 1 for GEM to be listed on the main board and 5 for introduction. The number of new listings in the first seven months of 2022 was 23 lower than that of 66 in the previous year (2021), mainly due to a decrease of 27 IPO on the motherboard due to market conditions.

The 37 listed companies listed through IPO in the first seven months of 2022 raised a total of 38.04 billion yuan, down 85.09 percent from 255.209 billion in the same period in 2021.

Excluding super-large IPO projects (which raised more than HK $10 billion, only one raised 13.458 billion in the first seven months of 2022 and 139.762 billion in the same period in 2021), fundraising in 2022 decreased by 78.71% compared with the same period in 2021.

A total of 13 IPO projects raised more than US $100 million (about HK $785 million) in the first seven months of 2022, and 30.788 billion raised by IPO, accounting for 35.14% of the number of IPO and 80.94% of the total raised by IPO in the first seven months of 2022, while 39 and IPO raised 247.284 billion in the same period in 2021, accounting for 60.00% and 86.89%, respectively.

III. Distribution of the amount of IPO listed in Hong Kong (January-July 2022)

In the first seven months of 2022, the specific fund-raising situation of the 37 listed companies listed through IPO is as follows:

0 companies with less than 100 million funds raised

Eight companies with fundraising amount between 100 million and 200 million, accounting for 21.6%.

21 companies with fund-raising between 200 million and 1 billion yuan, accounting for 56.8%.

Four companies with funds raised between 1 billion and 2 billion, accounting for 10.8%.

Three companies with funds raised between 2 billion and 10 billion, accounting for 8.1%.

The amount of money raised is more than 10 billion, accounting for 2.7%.

IV. Hong Kong IPO listing over-subscription (January-July 2022)

There are only 34 IPO involved in stock subscription, excluding 5 introducing listing, 1 changing board, 2 SPAC and 1 selling old shares.

In the first seven months of 2022, there were 206 listing applications submitted on Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, including 198 on the motherboard and 8 on GEM. Of these, 109 were submitted for the first time and 97 for the second time (at least twice).

In the first seven months of 2022, 41 companies were listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, all from the motherboard.

VI. According to the place of origin of listing (January-July 2022)

Except for 6 from Hong Kong (including 2 SPAC companies), 1 from Macao and 1 from Italy (holding by mainland state-owned enterprises), the other 35 are all from the mainland, including 7 from Guangdong, 6 from Beijing, 4 from Shanghai, 3 from Zhejiang, 3 from Jiangsu, 2 from Sichuan, 2 from Shandong and 2 from Hubei, and 1 each from Chongqing, Jiangxi, Tianjin, Anhui, Shaanxi and Heilongjiang.

VII. Other circumstances (January-July 2022)

1. A total of 26 listed companies have been delisted from the listing rules.

2. A total of 9 listed companies were delisted as a result of privatization and voluntary withdrawal.

3. Seven Chinese stocks are listed in Hong Kong for the second time, and one company delivers the form.

4. 12 H shares are listed.

5. SPAC has been listed, 13 of which have been submitted to the table, 2 of which have been successfully listed.
