At the 6th e-cigarette regulation development promotion conference in 2022, a blue book on e-cigarette exports was launched. It is estimated that China's e-cigarette exports this year will reach 186.7 billion yuan (same unit below), of which 45.3 billion yuan was reached in the first quarter.
Shenzhen is the center of the e-cigarette industry. Lu Jixian, deputy director of the Bao'an District Investment Promotion Department, said at the conference that currently, more than 95% of the world's e-cigarette production and products come from China. According to reports, leading Smore International's export revenue (direct and indirect exports) reached 9.082 billion yuan in 2021, accounting for 66% of total revenue.
It is worth noting that mandatory national standards for e-cigarettes will be implemented on October 1 this year, and the e-cigarette industry is facing a critical test of compliance.
