On May 8, a media reporter found from the website of the Hong Kong companies Registry that Byte Jump (Hong Kong) Limited had changed its name to Douyin Group (Hong Kong) Limited with effect from May 6, 2022.

In addition, several other companies under byte jump have also been renamed "Douyin" one after another. According to Tianyan, Byte beat Co., Ltd. changed its name to Douyin Co., Ltd.

According to the national enterprise credit information publicity system, Beijing Byte Jump Technology Co., Ltd. changed its name to Beijing Douyin Information Service Co., Ltd.

Douyin is byte jump's best-known product, with more than 600m daily active users. Last November, Byte Jump CEO Liang Rubo announced the establishment of six business units, namely Douyin, Dacheng Education, Feishu, Volcano engine, Lightyear and TikTok. Douyin's business segment is responsible for the overall development of the company's domestic information and services business, including Douyin, Jinri Toutiao, watermelon video, search, encyclopedia and other vertical services. Among them, Douyin and Jinri Toutiao these two core products contribute most of the byte-beating domestic income.

On April 25 this year, byte jump appointed a new chief financial officer (CFO), which will be headed by Julie Gao, a senior partner at Shida International Law firm. In these successive moves, it is believed that the company is reconsidering listing its domestic operations such as Douyin in Hong Kong as Douyin Group.
