I am not sure whether the acquisition will be successful in the end, but if it is successful, I will retain as many shareholders as possible, because it is not for me to make money, in fact, I do not care about money.

What is important is that Twitter, as an open and inclusive public platform, is very important to the future world.

After I own Twitter, the first thing I do is to eliminate spam and Internet fraud, because these negative factors are the main reasons that make Twitter worse.

• How did you manage to have so much influence on Twitter?

I don't know. My Twitter is either about my grand plans or seeing something interesting. Like most people, maybe I share too much, which is the so-called "oversharing". But people just love it.

• Do you have enough money to buy Twitter?

I have enough assets to complete the acquisition. Note that this is not a forward-looking statement. At this point, I would like to clarify why I finally gave up privatizing Tesla, Inc. that year.

You know I don't have a very good relationship with SEC, and the truth is that I had enough money to privatize, not deceiving investors. The SEC knows the matter like the back of their hand, but they still launch a rigorous investigation into privatisation.

Tesla, Inc. was on the verge of bankruptcy, so I was coerced by the bank:

If not reconciled with SEC, the bank will not give Tesla, Inc. working capital, Tesla, Inc. will face the fate of immediate bankruptcy. It's like someone put a gun to your child's head, so I have to give in.
