The latest remarks by US President Donald Trump on US monetary policy and trade frictions between China and the US have triggered wide fluctuations in capital markets. The three major stock indexes continued shock consolidation on Friday.
The S & P 500 closed down 2.66 points, or 0.09%, at 2801.83, up 0.02% this week. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 6.38 points, or 0.03%, to 25058.12, up 0.15% this week. The Nasdaq composite index fell 5.10 points, or 0.07%, to 7820.20, down 0.07% this week.
