Zhitong Financial APP News, Lianhua supermarket (00980) announced its annual performance announcement for the year ended December 31, 2021, with a turnover of about 24.76 billion yuan, down about 6.0 percent from the same period last year; the annual loss of shareholders belonging to the company was about 423 million yuan, an increase of 32 percent over the same period last year; and the basic loss per share was about 0.38 yuan.

Same-store sales in the group fell by about 4.88% year-on-year, including 5.63% in large general supermarkets, 7.38% in supermarkets and 48.30% in convenience stores, the announcement said. It has 3279 stores.

During the period under review, the group opened 336 new stores, including 5 new general supermarkets; 214 new supermarket stores, of which 44 were directly operated stores and 170 joined stores; and 117 convenience stores, including 21 new stores and 96 new franchise stores.

Xu Hong has resigned as a non-executive director and a member of the strategy committee of the company. Xu Panhua was appointed as a non-executive director and a member of the Strategy Committee of the Company at the meeting, effective from 28 March 2022 and ending at the end of the annual general meeting held in 2022.
