On March 28, the National Development and Reform Commission, together with relevant departments, will launch the third batch of central frozen pork reserves this year and guide various localities to speed up the collection and storage. The National Development and Reform Commission will continue to work with relevant departments to adjust reserves, further increase collection and storage efforts when necessary, promote pig prices to return to a reasonable range, and promote the smooth operation of the pig market. According to the analysis of the parties concerned, the current domestic production capacity of breeding sows is generally reasonable; the price of live pigs is already at a low level, and the possibility of further substantial decline is small. It is suggested that farms (households) reasonably arrange production and management decisions, not only maintain the normal rhythm of moderate finishing pigs, not blindly press the fence, but also keep the overall production capacity of breeding sows stable and not excessively eliminated.
