According to CPC data, retail sales in the NEV market reached 475,000 units in December 2021, up 128.8% year on year and 25.4% month on month. The CPC said that the current purchase subsidy technical index system framework and threshold requirements will remain unchanged in 2022. The subsidy scale is not fixed from the original forecast of 2 million vehicles. Sales of new energy passenger vehicles are expected to exceed 5.5 million vehicles in 2022, and the penetration rate of new energy passenger vehicles will reach about 25%; new energy vehicles are expected to break through 6 million units, and the penetration rate of new energy vehicles will be around 22%.
