The State General Administration of Sports, together with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the National Health Commission and the Ministry of Emergency Management, issued the basic Public Service Standard for National Fitness (2021 Edition).

The "Standard" focuses on the field of basic public services and defines the main items of the basic public services of national fitness in our country at the present stage. Among them, the basic public service scope and bottom line of national fitness which should be guaranteed by governments at all levels are delineated from the two aspects of "opening of public sports facilities" and "national fitness service". This paper puts forward nine specific contents, such as the opening hours of public sports facilities, the standard of fees, the allocation of social sports instructors, mass fitness activities or competitions, which are an important part of the construction of the national basic public service standard system.

The relevant responsible person of the State General Administration of Sports pointed out that the authorities will, together with relevant departments, supervise the implementation of the "standards" in various localities, follow up, monitor and evaluate the implementation, and regularly adjust the "standards" in accordance with the relevant regulations of the state and the implementation of various localities, so as to guide and promote all localities to implement local standards in accordance with local conditions.
