On November 19th, New Oriental Education & Technology Group announced that he would buy back bonds with a total principal of US $75.5 million, accounting for about 25.2% of the initial principal of the bonds.

The company will cancel the repurchased bonds in accordance with the terms of the bonds, trust deeds and agency agreements. Prior to this, New Oriental Education & Technology Group repurchased part of the bond on November 2, November 8, November 11 and November 12 respectively. The bond matures in 2025 with a total principal of $300 million.

On the evening of November 24, New Oriental Education & Technology Group said that the bonds would be further repurchased on November 24, 2021, and as of November 24, 2021, the total principal repurchased was US $91.5 million, accounting for about 30.5% of the initial principal of the bonds.

New Oriental Education & Technology Group said that the repurchased bonds will be cancelled in accordance with the terms of the bonds, trust deeds and agency agreements. After the repurchased bonds are cancelled, the outstanding principal of the bonds will be $209 million, accounting for about 69.5% of the initial principal of the bonds.

On November 29, New Oriental Education & Technology Group bought back again. As of November 29, 2021, the total principal repurchased by New Oriental Education & Technology Group was 112 million US dollars, accounting for about 37.2% of the initial principal amount of the bond.

The company will cancel the repurchased bonds in accordance with the terms of the bonds, trust deeds and agency agreements. After the repurchased bonds are cancelled, the outstanding principal of the bonds will be $189 million, accounting for about 62.8 per cent of the initial principal of the bonds.

New Oriental Education & Technology Group said that the company will or may not buy further bonds in the future.

As of press time, New Oriental Education & Technology Group's Hong Kong shares fell 2.46 per cent to HK $16.64. New Oriental Education & Technology Group's Hong Kong shares have fallen 73.3 per cent since the second half of this year.
