On November 30th, the share price of China Water Affairs (0855.HK) continued to rise to HK $9.34, a new high in more than a month, an increase of 11.19%, with a total market capitalization of HK $15.25 billion, up about 19% in the past two trading days. The company announced yesterday that earnings for the six months ended September 30, 2021, were HK $6.473 billion, up 26.1 per cent from a year earlier; profit attributable to owners of the company was HK $1.02 billion, up 23.4 per cent from a year earlier; basic earnings per share rose 23.1 per cent year-on-year to 63.61 Hong Kong cents. An interim dividend of HK16 cents per share was declared, a steady increase of 6.7 per cent over the same period last year.
