China generalist Education (02175.HK) announced that for the year ended August 31, 2021, the company's income was 289 million yuan, an increase of 6.71 percent over the same period last year; the profit attributable to the company's owners for the year was 130 million yuan; and the basic earnings per share was 0.33 yuan.
According to the announcement, the increase in income is mainly due to: (I) the tuition fee for this year is about 264.3 million yuan (2020: 255.2 million yuan), an increase of about 9.1 million yuan, or about 3.6%, due to the increase in the number of students enrolled in 2020 in the 2021 academic year. And (ii) the accommodation fee for this year is about 25 million yuan (2020: 15.9 million yuan), an increase of about 9.1 million yuan, or about 57.2%, due to the increase in enrollment in 2020max 2021 and the refund of part of the accommodation fee to students due to COVID-19 's epidemic situation.
