A new strain of virus named Omicron, which spreads faster than Delta and is resistant to existing vaccines, has spread to the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Israel, the United Kingdom and Australia, triggering market panic. Global stock markets tumbled sharply last Friday. Vaccine stocks, by contrast, are popular, with PFE.US shares rising more than 6 per cent to a record high of $54.94 on Friday, while BioNTech (BNTX.US) and MRNA.US soared more than 14 per cent and nearly 21 per cent, respectively.

The vaccine stocks listed in Hong Kong today made a good result (now 23d888, down 0.8% repeatedly), especially pioneering the pharmaceutical industry-B (09939.HK) continued to rise 8.6% against the market last Friday, and this morning it further broke 10 days and 100 antennas (58.7 yuan and 61.05 yuan), reaching as high as 64 yuan, now at 59.35 yuan, up 3.6%. CANSINOBIO-B (06185.HK) is reported to have begun research and development of a vaccine against Omicron mutant virus strains. Its share price shot up nearly 13% as high as 172.8 yuan, and is now trading at 160.5 yuan, up 4.7%.

Clover-B (02197.HK), which only listed at 13.38 yuan per share on the 5th of this month, is as high as 12.42 yuan, and is now trading at 12.36 yuan, up 4.9 percent.

Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (02196.HK) Chongyue 10 antenna (39.97 yuan), up to 42.70 yuan, is now trading at 40.4 yuan, up 2.7%. Tengsheng Boyao-B (02137.HK) rose five times in a row, reaching a maximum of 46.45 yuan. It is now at 44.50 yuan, a further increase of 1.5%.

Blue-chip Wuxi Biologics (02269.HK) once repeated 20 days and 10 antennas (105.8 yuan and 106.9 yuan), the highest reached 110.5 yuan, now reported 105.8 yuan, up 2.3%; Wuxi Apptec (02359.HK) rose four times, as high as 176.7 yuan, now quoted at 172nd yuan, up 2.9%.
