On November 22, Capital Bank learned that the Hang Seng Index Company announced the quarterly index review results last Friday (November 19). The number of constituent shares will increase from 60 to 64, and all changes will take effect from December 6, 2021 (Monday).

Hang Seng Index Corporation announced that China Resources Beer, Xinao Energy, JD, and NetEase will be included in the Hang Seng Index. However, Nongfu Spring lost the Hang Seng Index.

Previously, many institutions had high hopes for Nongfu Spring, believing that Nongfu Spring is now expected to be included as a constituent stock of the Hang Seng Index.

The number of constituent stocks in the Hang Seng Composite Index will increase from 500 to 503, and Tengshengbo Pharmaceutical-B, Yimaitong and Helens will be included.

Furthermore, the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index added Innovent Biopharma, excluded China Evergrande Group, and maintained the number of constituent shares at 50.

As of press release, Nongfu Spring is down 10.33%, China Resources Beer is up 1.92%, Medical Network is up 1.51%, and China Evergrande is up 1.08%.
