Korea's Kospi Rises 1.1%, Led by Electronics, Internet Stocks -- Market Talk

0014 GMT - South Korea's Kospi rises 1.1% to 3007.01 in early trade, led by electronics, internet and energy stocks. Investors seem relieved by the Federal Reserve's announcement to begin winding down bond purchases while being patient about future rate increases, Kiwoom Securities says. Index heavyweight Samsung Electronics rises 1.3%. Memory-chip maker SK Hynix adds 1.4%. Apple supplier LG Innotek climbs 3.0% and electronic-component maker Samsung Electro-Mechanics advances 2.2%. Mobile internet group Kakao Corp. gains 1.6% after its 3Q earnings release, but its fintech affiliate Kakaopay falls 4.1%, reversing gains from its solid market debut on Wednesday.(kwanwoo.jun@wsj.com)
