According to the Zhitong Finance App, Onna Technology Group (00877) announced that for the year ending December 31, 2017, the company's revenue was HK$2,035 million, an increase of 27.3% over the previous year; the company's owners should account for a profit of HK$209 million, an increase of 60% over the previous year; and a profit of HK$0.28 per share with no dividends.

The increase in revenue was mainly due to increased revenue from all businesses, particularly new businesses brought about by the group's “diversified development, new peaks” business strategy.

The increase in profit was mainly due to an increase in revenue from all of the Group's businesses.

According to the announcement, in fiscal year 2017, the optical network business received revenue of HK$1.6 billion, an increase of 14.7% over the previous year. The increase was mainly due to the growing demand for optical network products in the market (especially the data communication business); the revenue from the telecommunications business under the optical network business was HK$1.16 billion, up 8.8% year on year, accounting for 72.4% of total optical network revenue due to the increase in net sales of passive optical network products in the telecommunications market; and new revenue sources generated by the sale of 100GbE active optical network products to the telecommunications market.

Furthermore, the revenue from the data communication business under the optical network business for the year was HK$441 million, up 33.8% year on year; and the optical network business in overseas markets received revenue of HK$996 million, up 22.2% year on year
