AppleThe company said Friday it will build a new regional headquarters on the border between Culver City, Calif., and Los Angeles, indicating that the company will continue to invest to become a major player in Hollywood.

Apple Inc said the area covers an area of 550000 square feet across two office buildings and will accommodate teams engaged in Apple TV+, Apple Music, engineering and artificial intelligence.

Apple Inc's new headquarters marks that the company will continue to invest in creating content for Apple TV+ and that it will continue to recruit and expand in Hollywood. Apple TV+ is a streaming service launched by Apple Inc in 2019 for a monthly fee of $4.99.

Apple TV+ 's service has received some attention recently, with its series "Football Coach (Ted Lasso)" winning several Emmys earlier this year. Apple Inc already has 1500 employees in the region. The company acquired Beats Electronics, which is based in Culver City, in 2014 in its biggest acquisition to date.

Although Apple Inc did not say whether there would be a film and television production studio at the new regional headquarters, the location brings Apple Inc close to the area where a large number of TV programs and films are produced. Apple Inc did not say when the regional headquarters would be completed, but said it planned to have 3000 employees in the region by 2026.
