The net loss for the year ended 30 June 2021 was approximately HK $36900000 (2020: approximately HK $167600000), while the company's owner's share of the loss for the year was approximately HK $35400000 (2020: loss of approximately HK $163500000). The basic loss per share is about HK0.23 cents (2020: loss of about HK1.04 cents). No dividend.

The net loss for the year was mainly due to deductions for: (I) no goodwill impairment loss of approximately HK $57000000 in the hotel hospitality business; (ii) a decrease of approximately HK $55800000 in permanent title land and buildings impairment loss in the hotel hospitality business; and (iii) the reversal of an impairment loss on loans receivable of approximately HK $8800000.
