According to the Zhitong Finance App, Yuefeng Environmental Protection (01381) announced its 2017 results. The company achieved revenue of HK$2,397 million (same unit below), an increase of 45.0% over the previous year; net profit of 564 million yuan, an increase of 41.1% over the previous year; basic earnings per share were HK24.0 cents; and plans to pay 2.0 HK cents per share.

According to the announcement, profit growth was mainly due to increased revenue from electricity sales and garbage disposal fees due to the increase in operating capacity and the increase in construction revenue generated from construction. In 2017, the company's gross profit increased 38.9% year-on-year to 818 million yuan, while gross margin fell from 35.6% to 34.1% in 2017. The decline was mainly due to an increase in the contribution of construction revenue, where gross margin was relatively low, and a decrease in gross margin of a number of operating power plants due to an increase in maintenance time for a number of waste-to-energy plants.

On December 31, 2017, the daily urban domestic waste treatment capacity (including management projects) in operation of the Group increased from 7,600 tons to 12,800 tons, an increase of 68.9%.
