Ford has carried out two recalls in Canada, the first of which affected 1812 Mach-E vehicles because the glass panels on their panoramic skylights may not have been installed correctly and may become loose over time.

The second recall affected 3178 Mach-E vehicles whose windshields could come loose and fall off.

Last year, when a Tesla, Inc. Model Y owner was driving on the highway, the glass roof suddenly flew out. A large part of the roof of the Model Y is made of a large piece of glass.

Darren Palmer, head of Ford's electric car business, later made an unnamed satire on Tesla, Inc., saying that Ford's new Mustang Mach-E electric car would not have such a quality problem.

In an interview, he boasted of Ford's century-old manufacturing experience, saying that the new Mustang "the doors are tight, the colors match, the bumper won't fall off, the skylight won't fall off when you wash the car, and the doorknob won't get stuck in cold weather." This is alluding to some of the quality problems that Tesla, Inc. has had in the past few years.

Ford has produced 45826 Mustang Mach-E this year. Although the number of recalls is small, it is still possible to expand to Mach-E sold in the United States, because the electric cars sold in Canada and the United States are made in the same factory in Mexico.
