According to people familiar with the matter,applesThe plan is to give their Apple Store employees a one-time bonus of up to $1000 next month to reward their work during the current global health crisis.

Apple Store employees who join before the end of March this year will receive a $1,000 bonus, while employees who join after that date will receive $500. Apple's newly recruited employees for the holiday shopping season will receive a $200 bonus. The company will also distribute bonuses to AppleCare and online sales employees.

Apple doesn't often give bonuses to retail employees. The last bonus payment was in 2018, when Apple issued $2,500 worth of restricted stock to most of its employees, including Apple Store employees. These bonuses were distributed after the introduction of the new US tax laws, and were distributed to most employees below the director level.
