Gelonghui September 20 丨Hong Kong Aerospace Science & Technology (01725.HK) announced that on September 17, 2021, Hong Kong Satellite Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (lessee), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, entered into a lease offer with the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (lessor) as the beneficiary. According to this, the lessee accepted the offer and leased such properties from the lessor's side. The lease period is 6 years from the commencement date (tentatively set as April 1, 2022). These properties are several units located on the 2nd and 8th floors of the Advanced Manufacturing Center in Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate in Hong Kong, with a total construction area of about 178,200 square feet. Currently under construction by lessors, these properties are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022.

In order to implement the “Golden Bauhinia Constellation” project, the Group must establish satellite intelligent manufacturing centers, satellite monitoring and operation control, application and data centers in such properties, and carry out related research and development activities at such properties. The Advanced Manufacturing Center aims to support high value-added and advanced manufacturing operations, so that the industry can develop technological innovation, high value-added and highly customized production. Considering the high-precision process of satellite manufacturing at customized sites, the board believes that the design of advanced manufacturing centers can meet the relevant needs, and that leasing such properties will have a significant positive impact on the future development of the Group's space business.
