Sina Technology News Beijing time on the evening of Sept. 10, it is reported that Yahoo CEO Guru ran Pan (Guru Gowrappan) announced today that he will resign as CEO and be succeeded by Tinder CEO Jim Lanzorn (Jim Lanzone), a dating app.

Apollo Global Management, a private equity firm, announced earlier this month that it had completed its acquisition of Yahoo from Verizon Communications Inc in a deal worth about $5 billion.

Today, Yahoo CEO Gu ran Pan said in a memo to employees that the company has opened a new chapter in history and that this is a natural transition time. To this end, Gu Lanpan will be transferred to a senior consultant of Apollo Global Management.

At the same time, Tinder CEO Lanzorn served as the new Yahoo CEO, which officially came into effect on September 27th. Lanzorn is an experienced technology and media leader with 20 years of leadership experience and outstanding performance in corporate growth, innovation and entrepreneurship.

In 2017, Yahoo was acquired by Verizon Communications Inc and later merged with AOL to form a new company, Oath,CEO.AlibabaGu ran Pan, the global general manager.
