Zhitong Financial APP learned that in August 2021, online reporting departments at all levels across the country accepted 19.473 million reports, an increase of 15.5% month-on-month and 57.3% year-on-year. Of these, the illegal and undesirable information reporting center of the Central Internet Information Office (State Internet Information Office) accepted 369000 reports, an increase of 17.4% month-on-month and 55.5% over the same period last year. The reporting departments of local Internet information offices accepted 993000 reports, down 12.3% from the previous month and 29.7% from the same period last year; and 18.111 million reports were accepted on major websites nationwide, an increase of 17.5% month-on-month and 68.8% over the same period last year.

Among the reports accepted by major websites across the country, major commercial websites such as Weibo Corp (WB.US), Baidu, Inc. (09888), BABA (09988), Tencent (00700), Kuaishou Technology (01024), Douban, Jinri Toutiao, Zhihu Inc. (ZH.US), Sina, Sogou (SOGO.US), Bilibili Inc. Animation (BILI.US), Pinduoduo (PDD.US), JD.com (09618), Youku and other major commercial websites accounted for 73.8%, reaching 13.372 million.
