According to Futu News, after the Q2 earnings season, Xiaomi and Tencent both spent money to buy back their own shares.
Looking back at 2021, as of August 30, the 10 billion repurchase plan proposed by the Xiaomi Group on March 11 had been completed nearly 60%, costing HK$5.786 billion. A total of 20 repurchases were made during the year.
Tencent Holdings has started repurchases since August. It has now been repurchased 6 times at a cost of nearly HK$500 million.
