The largest poultry producer in the United StatesTyson FoodsThe company announced on Thursday that it will launch a vaccination award in which its American workers will be eligible to participate in the lucky draw with only one dose of novel coronavirus vaccine. the winner will win 10, 000 US dollars and will draw once a week for the next five weeks.

A spokesman for the company said workers at its nearly 50 chicken processing plants in the United States were eligible to participate in the lucky draw.

Tyson Foods announced on Aug. 3 that all employees must be vaccinated by November 1, but the requirements for unionized factory workers have yet to be negotiated with the union. The company said at the time that about 56000 employees had been vaccinated, equivalent to about 47 per cent of its 120000 US workforce.

The company also pays $200 to all vaccinated employees and no more than four hours of normal pay if they are vaccinated outside normal working hours or at Tyson's workplace.
