Zhitong Financial APP News, Chief Executive Baojia (00103) announced interim results for 2021. For the six months ended June 30, 2021, the company's turnover was HK $1.283 billion, an increase of 48.7% over the same period last year; profit during the period was HK $52.256 million, an increase of 45.7% over the same period last year; and basic profit per share was HK2.75 cents.

The steel cord division sold 105900 tons of steel cord during the period, an increase of 27.0% over the same period last year, the announcement said. In terms of sales of cut steel wire products, due to the company's unremitting efforts to open up new customers and the improvement of the market for photovoltaic, sapphire and magnetic materials, sales increased by 76.2% to 252 tons from 143 tons in the same period last year. Sales of the company's other steel wires increased by 3.4% to 4560 tons from 4410 tons in the same period.
