Unity Software Inc. announced the appointment of Alex Blum as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective November 1, 2024. Blum, who has been serving as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development since July 2024, will receive an annual base salary of $525,000, a target bonus of 75% of his base salary, a one-time cash bonus of $25,000, and equity awards under the company's 2020 Equity Incentive Plan. The equity includes 59,555 time-vesting restricted stock units and an option to purchase 39,703 shares of common stock, both vesting over four years with continuous employment. Blum's extensive experience includes his role as Executive Chairman of Tru Optik and various positions at AOL. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. and will also participate in Unity's Executive Severance Plan.
