European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen: The European Union must continue to diversify energy supplies and expand clean electricity sources from Wind Power. The European single market still has too many national barriers, so sometimes businesses have to deal with 27 different national regulations. We will provide innovative companies the opportunity to operate across the EU under a single set of common rules.

European Commission President von der Leyen: We do not lack Capital, but rather an effective Capital Markets that converts savings into investments, especially for early technologies with disruptive potential. Therefore, we will establish a European Savings and Investment Alliance, launch new European savings and investment products, provide new venture capital incentives, and promote ensuring seamless flow of investments within our alliance. Secondly, we must significantly simplify the business environment across Europe.
