Sunlight Real Estate Investment Trust (Sunlight REIT) announced that it has received an adjusted payment of HKD 5 million from the seller on July 31, 2024, fulfilling its obligation to acquire the West Kowloon property (now known as "West Kowloon Exchange") related rental guarantee contract. This acquisition and rental guarantee contract were announced on January 11, 2023. If the total rental income during the guarantee period is less than the predetermined amount, the guarantor shall pay the difference, up to a maximum of HKD 5 million. The auditors have confirmed that the difference is approximately HKD 11.4 million, and the guarantor has therefore made the maximum amount of adjustment payment. Hengyi Sunlight Asset Management Co., Ltd., the management company of Sunlight REIT, stated that the guarantor has fulfilled its obligation.
