The decision was made by the Board of Directors during their meeting on June 28, 2024. The Audit and Risk Committee now includes Luis Alberto Zuleta Jaramillo as Chairman, Álvaro Torres Macías, Guillermo García Realpe, Angela María Robledo Gómez, Juan José Echavarría Soto, and the newly appointed Gonzalo Hernández Jiménez. Ecopetrol, which employs over 18,000 people, is responsible for more than 60% of Colombia's hydrocarbon production and holds significant positions in petrochemicals, gas distribution, and energy transmission through its 51.4% stake in ISA. Internationally, the company is involved in strategic basins across the Americas, including drilling and exploration in the United States, Brazil, and Mexico, and through ISA, it has interests in power transmission, road concessions, and telecommunications across several Latin American countries.
