Huaneng International Power Co., Ltd. signed a capital increase agreement with Ishijima Bay Nuclear Power and other shareholders on 28 May 2024 to subscribe for RMB 20,992.5 million to add registered capital of Ishijima Bay Nuclear Power, keeping its 22.5% shareholding ratio unchanged. After the capital increase, the registered capital of Ishijima Bay Nuclear Power will be increased to RMB624,300 million. Huaneng Group is the controlling shareholder of Huaneng International Power and has direct and indirect interests in the company. Pursuant to Chapter 14A of the Hong Kong Listing Rules, this transaction is subject only to the declaration and announcement requirements and does not require the approval of independent shareholders. The increase will help the company accelerate its low-carbon transformation, increase clean energy installation capacity, and align with the company's development strategy.
