The HKEX has announced the latest list of Board members and their positions on each of its Committees. The list includes an independent non-executive director, Mr Tang, who has been nominated as chairman, but his appointment is still subject to the written approval of the Chief Executive of the HKSAR. In addition, under the Securities and Futures Ordinance, a number of directors are appointed by the Financial Secretary of the HKSAR. There are nine committees under the Board of Directors, including the Audit Committee, the Standing Committee of the Board of Directors, etc., each of which serves different roles within these committees, including Chairmen and Members. This time the list of directors was updated to be announced on 24 April 2024.
