The Nasdaq 100 index initially closed up 1.2%, with Mwell Technology leading the group with a 23% increase, Nvidia up about 3.5% — second only to Salesforce (the latter up 11%) in the Dow constituent stocks, Intel fell 2.3%, and Ansemi and Microchip fell more than 5%.
