Sinopec's Tahe Refining and Chemical Integration Project Commences Construction

On September 20, the refining and chemical integration project of Sinopec Tahe Refining & Chemical Company officially broke ground in Kuche, Xinjiang. Upon completion and operation, the project is expected to generate an additional annual output value of approximately RMB 20.2 billion and contribute about RMB 3.5 billion in new tax revenues (based on a crude oil price of USD 60 per barrel). It will also create around 10,000 jobs. The annual crude oil processing capacity of Tahe Refining & Chemical Company will reach 8.5 million tons, with the capability to produce ethylene and para-xylene series products.
