The United States has issued guidance on the additional tariffs for steel derivatives applicable to household appliances. According to a statement from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), starting June 23, tariffs will be applied to refrigerators, freezers, small and large dryers, washing machines, dishwashers, chest and upright freezers, cooking ranges, ovens, garbage disposals, and welded wire racks. The import tariff is 50% of the value of the steel content, but products from the United Kingdom are subject to a 25% tariff.
