Residents of the Gaza Strip are sharing images of Israeli city buildings and charred vehicles struck by Iranian missiles, with some hoping that the broader conflict will eventually bring peace to their destroyed homes. "Iran's response surprised me, many Palestinians, and Israelis. Everyone thought it would be moderate but dramatic," said 27-year-old Gaza City resident Mohammed Jamal. He told the media via a chat application: "Watching the rockets fall while the foolish 'Iron Dome' fails to stop them is a joy; seeing buildings collapse amid widespread fires reminds me of the destruction brought to Gaza by the occupation, but I can't even start to compare that." The 'Iron Dome' is part of Israel's multi-layer missile defense system, used to counter short-range rockets and mortars launched by Hamas militants from Gaza. 34-year-old Talil, a mother of four, stated, "I hope this time they will urge their government to end the war in Gaza, because everything happening with Iran is part of the broader Gaza war."
