According to the latest research by TrendForce (TrendForce Consulting), in 2024, the global N-type (conductive) SiC substrate industry revenue is expected to decrease by 9% year-on-year, falling to 1.04 billion dollars. This change is primarily due to decreased demand from the Autos and industrial sectors, a slowdown in the growth of SiC substrate shipments, and intensified market competition leading to significant drops in product prices. TrendForce also pointed out that entering 2025, even with the SiC substrate market continuing to face the dual pressures of weak demand and oversupply, the long-term growth trend will remain unchanged. It is expected that with the reduction in costs and advancements in Semiconductors technology, the applications of SiC will be more widespread in the future.
