Google announced this week that starting from October 25, it will no longer provide support for the first and second generation Nest Learning Thermostats and will not release related Software updates. In addition, Google will completely stop launching new Nest products in Europe. Google stated: "In order to fully invest in (future) technological advancements and to bring you cutting-edge features on our latest generation of Nest Thermostats, we will gradually stop supporting the three oldest devices, each of which has been in use for over ten years."
