Cui Dongshu, the Secretary General of the Passenger Car Association, stated that the import volume of imported Autos in China has continuously decreased at an annual rate of about 8% from 1.24 million units in 2017, and dropped to only 0.8 million units by 2023. In 2024, the import of Autos is expected to be 0.7 million units, a 12% decrease year-on-year. In the first three months of 2025, imported Autos amounted to 0.095 million units, a 39% decrease year-on-year, marking a significant decline that is rarely seen in recent years for the first three months. Among them, in March, 0.039 million imported Autos were recorded, a 27% drop, with a slight improvement in the decline.
