Japan's investment bank Nomura and Australia's Macquarie Group announced on Tuesday that Nomura will acquire Macquarie Group's public Asset Management business in the USA and Europe for A$2.8 billion (US$1.8 billion). Macquarie stated that this transaction will strengthen Nomura's Global Business while allowing this Australian financial Conglomerate to focus on private market alternatives that serve Institutions, Insurance, and Wealth markets. This transaction includes Macquarie Management Holdings (USA) and Macquarie Investment Management Holdings' branches in Luxembourg and Austria, with the deal expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
