According to the latest issue of the journal Nature Photonics, a team from the University of Pennsylvania in the USA has developed the first programmable chip capable of utilizing light for nonlinear neural network training. This breakthrough is expected to significantly accelerate the training speed of AI while reducing Energy consumption and laying the groundwork for the development of all-optical driven Computers.
