To further deepen the high-level opening of China's capital markets and facilitate foreign investment, on March 20, the Shanghai Stock Exchange signed a memorandum of understanding (hereinafter referred to as the ETF Connectivity Special Agreement) with the Brazilian Securities and Futures Exchange to carry out ETF connectivity cooperation, promoting the cooperation between the capital markets of China and Brazil to enter a new stage. The Shanghai Exchange signed memorandums of understanding with the predecessors of the Brazilian Securities and Futures Exchange, namely the Brazilian Securities Exchange and the Brazilian Futures Exchange, in 2005 and 2011 respectively. The two parties have established a relatively close cooperative communication relationship in market data, personnel exchange, and market promotion. The signing of this ETF Connectivity Special Agreement is an important measure for both exchanges to actively implement the results of the seventh meeting of the China-Brazil High-Level Coordination and Cooperation Committee, marking that the pragmatic cooperation between the two sides is advancing towards higher quality and higher level, which will promote further understanding and deepening cooperation among the parties in the capital markets of both countries.
