Prudential (2378.HK) announced annual results for the year ended December 2024, with profit of 2.415 billion US dollars, up 41.06% year on year; profit per share of 89.4 US cents; paid a second interim dividend of 16.29 US cents per share, a total of 23.13 US cents for the whole year, up 13% year on year. Last year, adjusted operating profit before tax increased by 10% to $31.29 at a fixed exchange rate. Annual premium equivalent sales were $6.202 billion, up 7% year over year; profit from new business increased 11% to $30.78. Europe contains shareholders' equity worth $44.2 billion. As of March 14, the Group has completed $1.045 billion (approximately 0.123 billion shares) in the 2 billion share repurchase plan announced in June last year. The plan is currently expected to be completed before the end of this year, rather than mid-2026 as originally anticipated.
