On March 15th, Dongying City in ShanDong Province signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology. The two parties will cooperate in zero carbon industrial parks, industrial new energy transformation, Technology innovation, and the application of new products/new technologies, as well as new energy transportation electrification fields. During the signing ceremony, the Dongying City government and Contemporary Amperex Technology signed a strategic cooperation agreement to co-build a zero carbon city. The Dongying City government, Shengli Oil Management Bureau Limited, and Petrochina University (Peking) signed a zero carbon application scenario cooperation agreement with Contemporary Amperex Technology. The Kenli District government signed an investment agreement for a Lithium Battery green manufacturing base with Contemporary Amperex Technology, and related enterprises signed a memorandum of cooperation for industrial new energy transformation. According to the agreement, Dongying City and Contemporary Amperex Technology will jointly build the first high proportion green electricity direct supply zero carbon industrial park of Contemporary Amperex Technology in the country. The first phase will be the construction of a 40GWh Lithium Battery green manufacturing base in Kenli District, and a second phase will be launched in due course to further expand production capacity.
