Recently, the National Bureau of Statistics announced the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for January 2025 for 31 provinces. It was observed that the number of provinces with year-on-year CPI increases in January 2025 saw a significant rise after five consecutive months of decline. Among them, 27 provinces saw an increase while 4 provinces experienced a decrease. Last month, the provinces with price increases, stable prices, and price declines were 13, 8, and 10 respectively. In terms of the rate of change, in January 2025, only Tibet's year-on-year data showed a decrease compared to December 2024; Shanghai and Guangdong had the largest increase in year-on-year data at 0.8 percentage points.
